The secret to winning Texas Holdem is knowing the winning poker hands and above all patience. If do not have the patience to fold on half of your hands you will not win at Texas Holdem. I've learned that lesson the hard way. Now I sit back and wait for my cards then bid aggressively. That method has worked wonders for me.

It is easy and a lot of fun. We play Texas Holdem Tournaments, here's how:
1. Get together 5 to 10 guys who are interested in playing Texas Holdem.
2. Determine what the buy in will be. For example $20 per player.
3. Distribute an even number of chips to each player
4. Review all the Texas Holdem rules with everyone at the table to avoid confusion and hard feelings.
5. Have a Winning Poker Hands chart near by for beginners.
6. Determine what the opening bets will be. We start with $4 and $2 then double the bet each time this prevents games from going on all night.
7. Don't forget to have something to do for the players who fall out early.
8. Determine how the pay out will be structured, for example if the Buy-in is $25 we play that the person who comes in third takes $25 the person who takes second $50 and the winner takes the rest.
If you really like Texas Holdem, it is nice to own a poker table, we use a folding Poker Table that you can place on top of any table. It works very well and you can put it away when you are not playing poker. These poker tables are inexpensive and handy.
Sometimes we will pull some cash out of the pot to buy a pizza or pay for the beer. The main thing to remember when you throw a Texas Holdem Party is to make it fun. Don't set the Buy-in too high, it will just cause hard feelings and will lower the chances of playing more poker in the future.
So remember, to win Texas Holdem you need to have a firm understanding of the winning poker hands and you need patience! Have fun and don't wager more then you can afford to lose!
